what to wear.

everyday on occasion, i receive this question in my inbox:

what should we/i/my daughter/my dog/my husband/boyfriend/son/baby wear for pictures?

first and foremost, can i just say i’m surprised? everyday i find myself surrounded by beautimous families and individuals wearing stuff so well put together. i covet outfits worn by friends and family all the time. i like to photograph people as they are and i hesitate greatly in telling YOU what to wear. on the other hand, i totally get it and i so feel your pain.

HELLO– i’m a photographer– but when it comes time for my own family to get their pictures taken, my blood pressure raises as the thought of dressing my family for such an event enters my mind. let me be the first one to admit, i am no stacy london when it comes to fashion, however, i do like to window-shop–especially online–and i can usually spot diva fashion model cuteness when i see it.

so, here we are. i was contemplating how to help all out there wondering the same question and i came up with a little idea. this idea will also keep blogging motivations high as well. how about a little “what to wear” wednesday?

every 2nd and 4th wednesday of the month, i will attempt to post some ideas of clothes that would look fabulous in pictures. i would also love to get some of your ideas as well. all you have to do is send me a .jpeg image of a grouping of clothes and i will give your fashion expertise all the credit (and perhaps a freebie/discount of sorts).

since today isn’t wednesday and i already missed the 2nd wednesday of august, how about we try it out anyway? let me know what you think:
